Why Am I Getting a Warning When Attempting to Install the Policy Key

Some Windows 11 users are not receiving the ServiceInstaller.exe file and it is being recognized as “Not Commonly Downloaded” message in the downloads folder. Here are the steps to convert.

Connect to Troy University and once connected open your browser and visit the following page to force the authentication page to appear.

Once you authenticate to the network using your Trojan Pass credentials, you will be prompted to download the policy key.  You must download and install the policy key.  By Default, the policy key will be downloaded to the downloads folder.  You must install after the download is complete.

Step 1:

Step 2:  Make sure you click on the 3 dots that will display “More Actions”.

Step 3: Choose “Keep”

Step 4: Select the arrow to the right of “Delete”

Step 5: In the dropdown, choose “Keep Anyway”.

This may say “Show More” before you can select the dropdown to click on “Keep Anyway”

Step 6: The ServiceInstaller will change over to an executable file and you will need to install.
