How do I find my computer name?

To find your computer name, follow the instructions below for the type of computer you have.

PC

  1. Right-click the Start button (bottom left corner)
  2. Click System
  3. The Computer Name is listed as Device Name

MAC

  1. Click on the Apple logo (menu)
  2. Select System Preferences
  3. (On Ventura 13.0 and higher) Select General
  4. Select Sharing
  5. The Computer Name is displayed here

If the computer is not functional, the serial number can be used instead of the computer name.  Instructions for finding the serial number can be found here.
