The Microsoft Office Suite is the standard office suite at Troy University. Most instructors expect assignment related files to be in a Microsoft Office format, and many require it. Microsoft Office 365 is provided to registered students by the University.
Some courses may utilize additional software applications. We recommend that each student contact one's instructor to learn if any software will be required. Typically, if a student must use a specific application for a course then access to that application will be provided on computers in a computer lab. However, it is often convenient for a student to purchase one's own software licenses for course software in order to work on assignments at times when the labs may be closed or simply to work in the privacy of one's room.
